In 2022 Subito, the n°1 digital platform in Italy to buy and sell sustainably and third e-commerce platform with over 13 million unique users per month, it closed the year with a double-digit revenue growth on an already extraordinary 2021.

Not only, platform traffic, increasingly from mobile (88%), exceeds 1.6 billion visits and 3 billion searches. The number of ads published both as a total year (51 million ads, +5%) and as a daily average (140,000, +3%). Above all, the number of people who sell second hand is consolidating: only on Immediately beyond 2.5 million every day. In the end, the customer journey is increasingly app first: Subito’s app has been downloaded 6.6 million times.
These data are part of the general growth of the second hand market, of which Subito reconfirms itself as the market leader in Italy and a litmus test of the impact of this form of circular economy and the consumption behavior of Italians.
In 2022 it is above all the vertical Market that is growing, i.e. the second hand par excellence: for example Furniture (+11.8), Gardening (+8.5%) and in general from the categories closest to the classic concept of second hand (Clothing +9%, Everything for children + 16%). Very different categories, where second-hand is a sustainable and convenient alternative, but also a precious ally to make dreams and passions come true.
And the two categories that grew the most in 2022 still belong to the Market vertical: Appliances (+26.8%)which increases at the same time as the energy crisis due to the search for non-energy-intensive appliances (peculiar that in the 41st place of the most searched words is wood stovecon + 216 positions compared to 2021 which represents the search for new sources, in this case of heating, with greater economic sustainability), e Photography (+23%), to whose growth the security of using shipments and payments integrated into the platform has certainly contributed, so much so that this is also the category that has the highest average value of transactions.
In 2021 Subito was transformed, introducing payments and shipments through the platform into the sale, combining the traditional business model with an e-commerce experience like: app first, totally online, remotely and safely. The service was highly appreciated by users, enough to be chosen in 75% of eligible ads.
Launched in September 2021, TuttoSubito grew by +113% from January to December 2022, and it has proved to be particularly interesting for small and medium-sized goods of medium-high value, perfect for shipping, but only against the guarantees that only an integrated service can provide. The categories that have seen the most transactions reflect this: IT, Consoles and Videogames, Telephony, Clothing and Accessories, Collectables.
Technology e Engines, here are the greatest passions of Italians. The evidence confirms two great certainties: the Italians – 2.5 million a day – who in 2022 searched among the 38 categories on Subito, they did so to find among the pre-loved objects the latest must-have model of their favorite mobile phone brand, capable of offering the utmost in terms of performance and design. Or even to win the timeless classics of two and four wheels, among the most representative of Italian history. But also to treat yourself to a dream, satisfy a passion or solve a practical need of their daily life.
