In the past few hours, Capcom has launched the official website to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the Ace Attorney series
Surely the Ace Attorney brand will not be the strongest of Capcom’s stable, which counts among its ranks such as those of Monster Hunter or Resident Evil, but it remains one of the most popular niche series ever. However, Phoenix Wright’s is a very prolific series, made up of many main chapters and as many spin-offs, collections and re-editions, in a whirlwind of courtrooms and heart-pounding investigations.
If you are passionate about the franchise it will not surprise you to know that, exactly twenty years ago, the series debuted in Japan with the first Game Boy Advance title, which then arrived three years later also in the West. Despite being a niche title, some recent sales figures revealed by Capcom have stated that the series has sold a total of 8 million units as of 2020. Not bad for a niche visual novel, come on!
