It was only a matter of time and now it’s happened: artificial intelligence (AI) has created its own beer. This was announced by Beck’s, which has announced that it will release a limited edition of Autonomousa beer with a “futuristic” look, entirely defined and developed by artificial intelligence, from the recipe, to the logo, through the packaging and even the marketing campaign.
Taking advantage of the computing power of AI, Beck’s asked artificial intelligence to propose new tastes and flavours. The result is a new recipe, born from thousands of algorithmically selected combinations. Beck’s explains that the ultimate recipe consists of a mix of water, malt, hops and yeast, and a fifth secret ingredient.
Specifically, Beck’s has used ChatGPT and Midjourney to create the recipe and the branding of the product. Technology, in addition to guiding and proposing solutions, has also created the marketing campaign to support beer.
Autonomous will be produced in a limited edition: only 450 beers for the Italian, German and British markets. Beck’s has promised that during the year it will introduce new designs for its packs designed in collaboration with artificial intelligence.
