The signed university tournament Amazonl’Amazon University Sports Mastersis ready to restart with another exciting season of challenges between ben 22 universities from 15 countries. Let’s find out all the details about it together!
The Amazon University Esports Masters is the most important European championship dedicated to the academic competitive gaming scene. The event is organized by GGTech and in Italy relies on the support of the tournament organizer PG Esports.
The Amazon University Esports Masters officially launches the 2022 edition with the tournament of League of Legends, the MOBA par excellence. The clashes of the group phase have already begun and will continue with the play-offs starting from 21 May. The grand finale is scheduled for June 25th and 26th.
The winning teams of the university finals played in each nation on League of Legends will make up the squad. The institutes involved are 22 and come from 15 countries. In Italy, the team of the Politecnico di Milano and of the Bocconi University distinguished themselves.
The competition will then move on to other competitive video games. Rocket League kicks off on April 9, with playoffs scheduled for April 30 and final on May 1. Teamfight Tactics instead will see the teams engaged on May 7 in the group stage and in the playoffs and the final scheduled for May 8. Finally, for Clash Royale there are group phase and playoffs on May 24 and the final on May 25.
The winners will boast the title Esports European Academic Champions and they will take home the prize pool of 24.500 euro.
In Italy, the competitions will be broadcast on PG Esports Twitch channel starting with the play-offs, the moment in which the race really gets underway.
