App Store allows developers to set new price ranges for apps

Apple announced that from today, developers can choose from new price ranges to sell your applications on the App Store. The new purchase options concern both paid downloads and in-app purchases.

The App Store offers over 900 price ranges for developers

Starting today Apple offers over 900 price ranges to choose from, and allows developers to request another 100 specific options where needed. We leave from a minimum of $0.29 to a maximum of $9,999.99. Compared to the past, the spread has been widened (with lower minimum prices and higher maximum prices). Also a whole new range of fractions of the dollar has been introduced.

The news is currently only valid for the US market, however Apple has announced that starting May 9, all app prices and in-app purchases will be updated globally. The new bands introduced in the United States today they will therefore soon arrive also in Europe and consequently in Italy.

In the meantime, the beta version of Bluesky, the new social network by Jack Dorsey, co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, has also arrived on the App Store. The app is also available for Italy but access to the platform is only possible upon invitation from an already registered user.
