Apple and the chip crisis: delivery times begin to shorten

Due to the global shortage of chips, Apple is running out of units iPhone 13, as we have discovered over the past few weeks. Analyst Katy Huberty noted that there are signs of stabilization in the past few weeks. Huberty explained that they can be observed improvements along the entire production chain, which seems to open up excellent distribution prospects for the month of December. For Apple, getting back on track with manufacturing is particularly important given the massive losses they suffered during the past quarter.

As of last Tuesday, November 23, delivery times for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max were 19 days. For clarity, delivery time measures how long it takes from the time an iPhone is ordered to the time it is delivered. The good news is that since the beginning of November, the delivery time for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max has dropped by about seven days. The analyst says delivery dates are dropping for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini as well.

In addition to improving delivery times, another analyst, Samik Chatterjee, said earlier this week that there are signs showing that Apple shipped a record number of iPhone units to China last month. In short, it seems that the Cupertino giant is picking up the pulse of the situation, even if it is not clear how the situation will evolve from now on.
