Among next year’s news from Apple will be the first Macs with the M2 Max chip. The new chip is still to be confirmed officially but in these hours it has made its debut on the net with a primo benchmark (all to be verified). The score is, of course, very high but does not represent a substantial increase compared to the M1 Max.
According to leaker ShirmpApplePro, a Mac prototype with 96 GB of RAM and Apple M2 Max CPU passed through Geekbench registering a score of 1853 points in Single Core and 13855 points in Multi-Core. The processor has 12 coree register one maximum frequency of 3.54GHz.
If confirmed, the score of the new M2 Max is certainly excellent but does not represent such a big step forward compared to M1 Max. The chip that currently represents a reference for the Apple range stops at 1787 in Single Core e 12826 in Multi Core su Geekbench.
Consequently, the increase recorded by M2 Max compared to M1 Max is evident but previous rumors had anticipated a greater improvement for the new Apple chip. We will most likely know more over the next few weeks considering that the debut of the new chip is set for early next year.
