ASRock shares some more details about its Taichi X670E motherboard
It would appear that we are getting closer to launching AMD’s AM5 platform, given that ASRock (here for more info) announced its premiere X670E motherboard on his site. The page still has very limited information and there is only a single motherboard image, which is the same one the company has shared al Computex. However, we now get a few more details on what to expect in terms of additional features. To begin with, ASRock has opted for a power supply design Dr.MOS SPS has 26 phases, which should be enough for even the most hardcore overclocker. The card has a pair of slot PCIe 5.0 x16 which operate in dual x8 mode when both slots are used. Other than that there are quattro slot M.2where ASRock decided to call Blazing the slot connected to the CPU, as PCIe 5.0. While the three PCIe 4.0 slots use the Hyper name the company has used so far.
The card also has eight SATA ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, which are apparently also certified USB4 and a header for a case-mounted USB 3.2 Gen 2 × 2 (20 Gbps) port. In addition, the card has five ports USB-A USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) rear on the back. In addition, it has three USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) ports and four more via header, as well as a single unknown version HDMI port. ASRock chose a controller Ethernet Intel Killer E3100G 2,5 Gbps. It also has a card Intel Killer AX1675X WiFi 6E and Bluetooth, with the combination supporting Killer DoubleShot Pro. Finally the audio is via a connected audio codec USB Realtek ALC4082 and an ESS Saber 9218 DAC. Overall, it looks like a fairly equipped board without too much excessive bling and hopefully priced accordingly.
