Asus unveils Zenfone 9, the top of the compact range

Asus presents the new top-of-the-range smartphone with a compact design, the Zenfone 9. A smartphone that offers all the power of chip Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 under a screen of suns 5.9 inch, with good quality cameras and many other news. Here you are features and price of the new Zenfone 9 from Asus.

A compact but strong body (certified IP68), in four carefully designed colors. A dual camera on the back, a 5.9-inch 120Hz display on the front. And above all the power of Qualcomm’s latest chip (which Asus has already tested for gamers with the ROG Phone).

He chips Snadragon 8+ Gen 1 marks record speed in Android, but Asus really wanted to overdo it. In fact you also find 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of memory UFS 3.1, for truly snappy performance. And with the improved cooling system, with high-tech vapor chamber, copper diffuser and graphite sheets, the temperature should always be under control.

The screen from 5.9 inches is a 120Hz AMOLED covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass to resist bumps and scratches. But Asus has also worked with Pixelworks to offer color accuracy of another level.

The main camera is a sensor Sony IMX766 da 50MP, cpace of quality shots and excellent videos (also thanks to HDR audio). Then there is an ultra wide one IMX363 da 12MP and a front camera IMX663 da 12MP so you don’t miss anything.

To move the device ZenUI 9 (with Android 12), optimized to be used with one hand given the size of the device. The unlock button also acts as a fingerprint reader for very fast response times.

The battery from 4300mAh recharges quickly a 30 Watt.

Price and availability (and accessories)

Zenfone 9 also introduces the modular accessory system Connect, which allows you to customize the cover by hooking the stand, or by holding your credit cards. And there is even a useful accessory to hook the smartphone to the backpack.

Available colors are Moonlight White, Sunset Red, Starry Blue e Midnight Black.

• the version with 256GB of memory costs 849 euro
• The 16GB RAM and 256GB storage version costs 899 euro.
