Avicii Invector: Encore Edition will arrive later this month, a new VR game in memory of the late Swedish DJ Tim Bergling, known worldwide as Avicii.
The game will be released for Meta Quest 2, formerly known as Oculus Quest 2, the January 27. Avicii Invector: Encore Edition will present 35 hits by the Swedish DJ, with iconic titles such as “Peace of Mind”, “Freak” and “SOS”. The game is a VR version of the already popular Avicii Invector, released for consoles in 2019, one year after the tragic death of the disc jockey. At this link the official trailer.
Players will pilot a futuristic spaceship, traveling through the notes of the 35 tracks present. Each level was built to make a perfect mix between music and images on the screen. In this way, players will be able to feel part of the action that constantly takes place during gameplay. It will also be possible to play in multiplayer mode to “recreate the party feeling typical of Avicii concerts”
The title was originally created in collaboration with the late DJ. After his death by suicide in 2018, the father of Avicii, Class Bergling, took the project forward. Tim Bergling Foundation, which supports the recognition of suicide as a global health emergency.
