Back 4 Blood: All upcoming characters will be paid DLC

The undead really want to make it pay – the next characters coming to Back 4 Blood will all be DLC, and none will be free

The development team behind Back 4 Blood, the talented Turtle Rock Studios, recently revealed the future regarding the incoming characters, and apparently the word of the day is DLC. In an AMA (“Ask me anything”, or a question and answer session with fans, ed) on Reddit, the creative director and founder of TRS Phil Robb talked about the future of the game. When a fan asked if the cast would be expanding with free updates or not, Robb confirmed that it will all be paid content. The season pass will still be optional, given the possibility of staggered purchases.

In addition, fans have been asking if there will be more PvP modes coming for Back 4 Blood, and Robb told them that there is nothing planned other than the DLC characters for now. Either way, there are new decks of cards and weapons already in the works, and it won’t be long before we see them. As for the rest, the development team is already working hard to implement more QoL changes to the game.
