Bayonetta 3: Viola comes with a gameplay trailer

In the past few hours, PlatinumGames has released a new gameplay trailer of Bayonetta 3 this time dedicated to Viola: let’s find out all the details together and see the new witch in action

The release date of Bayonetta 3, for now set at 28 October next, is approaching by leaps and bounds and it still doesn’t seem totally true to us. It may be that the third chapter of the most curvy witch of all was almost going to become vaporware, with a Kamiya who seemed to almost enjoy mocking those who were waiting so eagerly for the game, but the thought that in just over two weeks we will be able to have it in our hands, exclusively on Nintendo Switch, is almost an emotion. With the approach of the launch, the news coverage of the most important foreign newspapers also increases, including Game Infomer which has also released a new exclusive gameplay trailer, dedicated to a new playable character: the purple witch.

Viola is a Chade witch still in training, which is what obviously makes her a less experienced fighter than our Bayonetta. All this is made evident by his fighting style, in which he places much more emphasis on his brute strength, distinguishing himself a lot by the refined finesse that Bayonetta flaunts with every shot. We leave you the gameplay trailer right below.

Bayonetta 3: Viola shows her full potential with a dedicated gameplay trailer

The main differences with Bayonetta are found in both melee and ranged attacks. As for the former, Viola is able to use only the katana in combat, while Bayonetta is able to unleash a great variety of weapons as the game progresses. If we look at ranged attacks instead, Viola uses throwing knives to extend her combos, rather than firearms. Furthermore, Viola is able to summon her demonic cat-like minion, Cheshire (what a classic name!). The last big difference between Viola and Bayonetta is how the novice uses her Witch Time. While Bayonetta is able to slow down time while she accesses her Witch Time, Viola instead uses it to block enemy attacks with perfect timing.
