Pure Power 12M includes full support for the ATX 3.0 standard, which meets the power specifications defined by PCI Express 5.0. Compared to the ATX 2.X standard, which supports high peak loads but does not define a maximum higher than the power supply rating, the ATX 3.0 standard defines clear target values: in particular, the PCIe connection for the graphics card must allow for variations in load up to three times the power consumption. Pure Power 12M is designed to handle these extreme transient loads with ease. ATX 3.0 power supplies with 450 watts or more also require a new 12VHPWR connector, which can deliver significantly more power. Additionally, all Pure Power 12M models offer up to four “traditional” 6+2 PCIe connectors for full compatibility with graphics cards.
