The company, as revealed by Olivier Zipse, can count on a high structural solidity and can look to the future with confidence. The CEO also confirmed the commitment to the climatic neutralityae la sustainability which represents an important guideline for the future.
Among the central points of BMW’s future, Olivier Zipse points out, is the digitization. The company is experimenting with the use of artificial intelligence in the production cycle with the aim of further improving results. According to the CEO, the digitization of processes represents an element capable of reducing costs, improving quality and efficiency, allowing the company to achieve the set sustainability objectives.
For his future, highlights Olivier Zipse, the BMW group is accelerating growth in electric mobility. According to the objectives set by the group, 2 million electric vehicles sold will be reached by 2025. By 2030, however, half of the company’s deliveries will be related to electric cars with volumes of 1.5 million units per year.
Furthermore, during 2025, Phase III of BMW’s technological transformation will start with the arrival of one new architecture. Olivier Zipse also anticipated the arrival of new solutions by autonomous driving of level 3 and new software tools for the vehicles of the future thanks also to a collaboration with Qualcomm. Meanwhile, BMW has secured the rights to the brand Alpina who thus becomes part of the group.
