Much has been speculated in recent years about a possible and renewed partnership between BMW and McLaren with the aim of reviving one of the most iconic sports cars in history: the McLaren F1. In the 1990s, BMW and McLaren signed a commitment to create the most spectacular supercar the world has ever seen. However, a production model never came from that launch. However, the relationship between the two automakers could recur, as both would be in talks to initiate development of a complete new architecture for an upcoming electric sports car.

This rumor comes from a leak released a few days ago in which, apparently, on March 24, both brands signed a collaboration memorandum to carry out this alleged joint development task.
