Captain America 4: filming also underway in Washington

Filming has begun on Captain America 4, called New World Order with Anthony Mackie, will be filmed in a Washington, DC

Filming of Captain America 4 New World Order has started and in a location phighly evocative: Washington. In bizarre news, the mayor of the capital, Muriel Bowser, gave a presentation of all the projects that are being filmed in the city, also including the ultimate MCU. When it comes to a Marvel settlement in that city, Captain America: New World Order fits right into this context. Thus it closes a circle for the protagonist Anthony Mackie, who shot some scenes there of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, in his Marvel debut.

The location would also make sense considering the presence of Harrison Fordwhich now interprets the Generale Thunderbolt Ross in the MCU. Indeed, Kevin Feige himself confirmed this to Entertainment Weekly last month.

We will start shooting relatively soon. I’m sure anyone who’s ever talked to Harrison Ford says this, but it’s amazing to be able to meet and talk to him and that he’s accepting this role. He is tireless with the amount of work he does. This is certainly an important part for Thaddeus Ross. In the film he is the President of the United States.

What is the future of filming Captain America 4?

In a recent interview with Empire Magazine, Mackie had some thoughts on what the fate of the leader of this new group of Avengers might be. With Avengers: Kang dynasty still pending, and much of the roster pending, there are only guesses. Anthony Mackie has an idea about his role.

Sam is the only character without superpowers. He’s just a regular guy who hangs out with a bunch of weirdos. Being from New Orleans, I’ve been in several fights. And heart and charisma have never helped me in a fight. Usually they just made me beat up. So this could be a problem when you go to fight someone like Thanos. So, I think with him, he has to come into the picture with a very different understanding of what it’s like to be a good guy or a bad guy and what are the decisions that make you walk that line the way you did.
