Released the trailer of the Netflix docu-series Chef’s Table: Pizza, from 7 September available on the platform in all countries where the service is active
Netflix has released the trailer for Chef’s Table: Pizza. It is a famous docu-series that returns to the platform with a brand new season dedicated to the art of pizza in the world. From 7 September the new (very Italian) season will be available worldwide only on Netflix.
Italy will be represented by Chef Gabriele Bonci and Franco Pepe that will accompany us on this journey around the world through pizzas.
One of the most famous chefs in Italy, Gabriele Bonci has become an icon thanks to his wild and creative variations of the Roman specialty of pizza by the slice necessarily cooked in a pan and cut to size with scissors.
This pizza was shown by Gabriele himself in numerous Italian TV shows where he spent decades captivating the public, and at Pizzarium, the iconic Bonci pizzeria located near the Vatican.
The dough is in Franco Pepe’s DNA. His grandfather was a baker, his father was a pizza maker, and he and his brothers continued the family tradition.
Today Franco is considered one of the greatest pizza chefs in the world, renowned for his unique doughkneaded by hand, his creative toppings that celebrate and reinvent classic Italian recipes, and his dedication to ennoble the craft of making pizza.
The series is divided into 6 episodes that will alternate 6 different chefs, who will each present their own vision and reinterpretation of pizza: Chris Bianco (Phoenix, Arizona, USA), Gabriele Bonci (Rome Italy), Ann Kim (Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA), Franco Pepe (Caiazzo, Italy), Yoshihiro Imai (Kyoto, Japan) e Sarah Minnick (Portland, Oregon, USA).
