CoD Warzone 2: New wave of official details on maps, DMZs and more

CoD Warzone 2 is the protagonist of a real wave of announcements released by Activision that also spoke of maps and DMZ modes

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 was officially unveiled earlier this year and now, about a week after launch, Activision has revealed more details on the upcoming free-to-play royale shooter, as recently reported, yes: finally new details have emerged about the maps and on the modality DMZ.

In the latter case it will be possible to use sidearms, melee weapons, throwing knives and tactical and lethal equipment. Activision also confirmed that custom weapon-equipped sets will still be part of the game, while a new backpack system will be introduced for battle royale and DMZ modes.

In this regard, new details have also been revealed about the new mode based on theextraction. Activision describes the new DMZ as “a narrative-centric, open-world mining mode where teams of Operators have the ability to complete faction-based missions, take on additional secondary objectives, clash with enemy Operators or AI fighters, and search for valuable items, all while fighting to survive”. Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Warzone 2.0 will also feature third-person playlist. The third-person option was introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. “This change of perspective could completely change the game, allowing for different visibility tactics and a different action-packed gameplay experience,” Activision said.

The publisher also unveiled the details of the Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0revealed a new system of Battle Pass for the two aforementioned titles and confirmed that, after a short hiatus, the original Warzone will be relaunched as Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera.
