Computer sales drop another 15%

According to the latest data from the‘International Data Corporation (IDC) the PC sales I am in 15% drop: in the third quarter of 2022 only 74.3 million units were sold. In its Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker, IDC explains that the third quarter of 2022 marks a decline in PC sales. Compared to last year, drop 15%. However, the shipments remain above the prepandemic level. When computer sales remain mainly linked to the end of support for Windows 7.

Looking at market shares, Lenovo remains in first place with 22.7% of the market, followed by HP with 17.1% and from Dell with 16.1%. Apple remains off the podium at 13,5%but it is the only one that registers an increase compared to last year (+40%). All other companies are negative by at least two digits, except Asus which drops by only -7.8% and takes fifth place with 7.5% of the market.
