Corsair: here is EX100U, the portable SSD up to 4 TB

Corsair has recently announced the arrival of EX100U, the portable SSD equipped with a USB Type-C Gen2 x2 socket with storage up to 4 TB

Corsair, US company leader in the sector of the most advanced components for gamers, content creators and PC assemblers, has recently presented its new ultra-thin external storage unit, Corsair EX100U. Available in capacities ranging from 500GB up to even 4 TB, the EX100U can hold an incredible amount of data in an ultra-compact pocket size. But let’s go in order and take a closer look at this new device.

This device uses a higher bandwidth connection USB Type-C Gen2 x2. This allows you to have one data transfer rate up to 20 Gbps. With sequential read up to 1,600MB / sec and sequential write up to 1,500MB / sec, we’ll be able to move stunning 4K videos in seconds, do intensive video and photo editing or play the latest titles, whatever their size.

Thanks to incredibly slim profile and a footprint smaller than a credit card, the EX100U can be used on the PC, Mac or console of your choice. The unit comes with a supplied with both USB Type-C to Type-C and Type-C to Type-A cables. This way it can offer broad compatibility with all modern devices through a simple plug-and-play setup, so it can work right out of the box.

A handy protective cap for the storage drive’s USB Type-C connector protects it from damage in transit. Precisely in this sense, we want to point out that the warranty issued by Corsair is equal to 3 years. The storage drive is available immediately in the Corsair online store and through the network of authorized resellers and distributors around the world.
