David di Donatello 2021: all the winners of the new edition

Idavid di Donatello 2021 have come to an end, let’s find out the winners of all categories, including Sofia Loren as best actress for Life in front of her.

The David di Donatello 2021 ended with an American-style ceremony that was divided between the Rai Fabrizio Frizzi studios in Rome and the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome. A weak, little-written ceremony not helped by the current situation that places a narrow audience divided between two different theaters. Among the speeches of the winners and the winners, certainly the one in memory of Mattia Torre emerges, screenwriter and director who passed away in 2019, made by his very young daughter who dedicates it to her father, midwives and nurses.

During the ceremony also i special awards to Monica Bellucci, Sandra Milo and Diego Abbattantuono.

  • Best Supporting Actress: Matilda De Angelis for The Incredible Story of the Isle of Roses
  • Best Supporting Actor: Fabrizio Bentivoglio for The incredible story of the Isola delle Rose
  • Best author of photography: Matteo Cocco for I wanted to hide
  • Best composer: Cherry Cat Against the Big Chill, Downtown Boys for Miss Marx
  • Best Original Song: Immigrato, music and lyrics by: Luca Medici, Antonio Iammarino, for Tolo Tolo
  • Best scenography and furniture: Ludovica Ferrario, Alessandra Mura – Paola Zamagni for I wanted to hide
  • Best costume designer: Massimo CANTINI PARRINI for Miss Marx
  • Best make-up artist: Luigi Ciminelli -Andrea Leanza, Federica Castelli (prosthetic or special make-up) for Hammamet
  • Best hairdresser: Aldo Signoretti for I wanted to hide
  • Best editor: Esmeralda Calabria for Favolacce
  • Best sound: Carlo Missidenti, Filippo Toso, Luca Leprotti, Sound creation: Marco Biscarini, Francesco Tumminello for I wanted to hide
  • Best visual effects: Stefano Leoni, Elisabetta Rocca for The incredible story of the Isle of Roses
  • Best Documentary: My name is Francesco Totti of Alex Infascelli
  • Best foreign film: 1917 in Sam Mendes (01 Distribution)
