Let’s find out together, in this short guide, what is the concept behind the choice of the best answers to give in Digimon Survive to capture the small (and large) creatures and make them our allies
Digimon Survive is the new chapter of the franchise that has always been a historical rival of Pokémon, although very different both in terms of themes and in the variety of video games dedicated to it, recently arrived on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Developed by Hyde and published by Bandai Namcowhich strangely, and unlike the usual, did not make a great advertising campaign letting it go out rather quietly, Digimon Survive quite expertly mixes a basic Visual Novel structure, with miles of on-screen text, to a strategic turn-based JRPG starring Digimon. We are currently working to bring you a more complete and detailed review, but we can already anticipate that in these first hours of play the combination seems rather successful. And how!
Anyone who has played a Shin Megami Tensei will be quite comfortable recognizing one of Digimon Survive’s basic mechanics. The game will in fact allow you to increase the ranks of your creatures by “capturing”, or more likely making friendly, the wild ones against which you will find yourself clashing. In this article you will not find all the best answers to give to each creature in Digimon Survive to take it as a team, we are making a list aimed at the most interesting or rarest ones, you will find the list being updated right at the bottom. In this article we want to explore very simply how the response system works and what it is based on. In addition to simple randomness, of course. Let’s begin!
First of all, to start the conversation with the creature you want to capture, you must select the “Talk“ option from the battle menu. Scrolling with R1 or RB on the second page of the list, and then passing from allies to enemies, you will find the list of opponents on the battlefield and with whom you can interact. Warning: this list will not be available during the course of the battles related to the plot, but only the random ones you will come across during the Exploration phase or in the Free Battle.
At this point, the opposing Digimon will propose three questions or affirmations (out of a total of 7) to which you will have to answer correctly based on the character, type and temperament of the creature. For each correct answer, the bar above the opponent will fill with one or two units. For each wrong answer, it will empty by one or two units. Your goal is to keep the counter above half, to have the opportunity to ask him to join the team. From there the chances that the Digimon will accept is determined by a percentage, indicated on the screen, but rather fictitious. We had to make well over five attempts with Digimon whose drop rate was 20%.
Any answer you can give to the opposing Digimon will have a specific effector:
Finally, you can increase your chances of recruiting a Digimon of a specific attribute by increasing your Karma (we will talk about it in a special guide) by directing you towards “Morale”, “Harmony” or “Fury”. In particular:
Below is the list (in alphabetical order), in update, of all the creatures for which we have explored the best answers to give in Digimon Survive:
