AndFebruary 22nd Digimon World: Next Order will also be available to play on Nintendo Switch and PC consoles. The news comes today directly from Bandai Namco Europe S.A.S., which will then bring the popular RPG to even more platforms. The game was in fact released in 2016 as an exclusive PlayStation Vita for the Japanese market. The following year – in 2017 – the version for PlayStation 4 arrived instead.
The title puts players in the shoes of a DigiDestined, with the task of rebuilding the Digital World that finds itself in total chaos. To be helped in this mission, players will need to be able to find and recruit over 200 Digimon to be fed, trained and bonded with. The city of Floatia will serve as a hub and will be developed by players: a place where you can recruit Digimon, upgrade buildings and buildings, grow crops and develop the city into a sprawling metropolis.
Digimon World: Next Order is essentially an RPG set in an open world and played from a third person perspective. The player can choose from ten possible starting Digimon at the start of the game. These then grow and evolve throughout history, taking part in battles and interacting with their owner.
