We learn today that Dolphina Nintendo Wii and Nintendo GameCube emulator, will arrive on Steam later this year. The emulator will allow you to play numerous Nintendo titles without necessarily owning one of the original consoles. However, in order to use it, you will need to own a copy of the game.
The new Steam page of the emulator reads:
“If you’re looking to relive the classic Nintendo consoles, Dolphin Emulator is your one-way ticket to nostalgia. Travel back to an era of gaming before the advent of microtransactions and experience a diverse library of thousands of titles that have been released for these consoles [GameCube e Wii] over more than 15 years.”
While Dolphin is designed to replicate the features of older consoles, the page lists a number of modern features. Among these the 4K resolution, online multiplayer and controller support. In the video below you will find all the new features of Dolphin.
Those who really don’t want to wait for Dolphin to arrive on Steam can download it for free from the official website. The emulator is totally free and will remain that way when it’s released on Steam later this year.
