Apparently yes, Dune: Spice Wars is expected to arrive in 2022 and will consist of a real-time strategy video game for PC set in the universe created by Frank Herbert.
The news comes directly from the Game Awards yesterday, Thursday 9 December, where Shiro Games and Funcom have announced the new title: Dune: Spice Wars. The title was presented as a strategy video game “with 4X elements”. There will be more playable factions and more ways to win a match, which could mean that the title will be highly replayable. The announcement was followed by the birth of an official twitter profile of the game, who just in the past few hours posted a small teaser of the new video game.
According to TheVerge, Spice Wars isn’t the only Dune game in the works. In fact, the portal reports that Nukklear would be working on his own version of Frank Herbert’s work in a videogame key, although to date nothing is known about this project.
