Dune skins arrive on Fortnite

Fortnite is undoubtedly one of Epic Games’ most successful games, and this explains why the company continues to launch crossovers with any title in the entertainment industry. Alien, Street Fighter, and Rick and Morty were just some of the guaranteed crossovers throughout the year. And now, in order not to miss anything, there is also the possibility of taking on the role of Paul Atreides and Chani di Dune.

Fortnite and Dune, the crossover we’ve been waiting for

Dune perhaps needs no introduction. At the moment the rooms are hosting the adaptation of director Denis Villeneuve, which follows the story of Paul Atreides, heir to the Atreides House. After his family has been entrusted with the management of the desert planet – Dune, in fact – where the only drug capable of extending human life is produced, he sets out on a journey to Arrakis. A mission that proves to be a trap organized by House Harkonnen against the Atreides.

In short, we know the story, and we are also aware of the success of the film. No wonder, then, that Epic Games has announced a crossover between Fortnite and Dune, with a video in which the stars appear Timothee Chalamet e zendaya. And so Paul Atreides e Chani will be available as skins available for purchase within the in-game store. To these are added other special items such as the ornithopter glider and the double-bladed pickaxe.

A collaboration that could not fail to attract our attention, even if in the past Fortnite has already given us important crossovers with the cinema sector. In 2018, for example, Thanos appeared in the game just to coincide with the release of Avengers: Infinity War. By virtue of this, we are not surprised to find Paul Atreides and Chani within the title of Epic Games. And indeed, Dune offers a lot of material to the company: characters like Jason Mamoa’s Duncan Idaho or Dave Bautista’s Glossu Rabban would be perfect for the gameplay. And it is not certain that they will not be.
