E3 2023 confirmed: the event will take place, even without the Majors!

In the past few hours, Lance Fensterman, president of the organization of E3 2023, loudly confirmed that the event will be held even if Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony will be absent: let’s find out all the details together

It must be admitted: E3, the conference that once represented the international aggregation for the gaming industry, has lost its glamor, importance and prominence in recent years. A lot will certainly also be due to the Coronavirus pandemic (which caused some editions to be cancelled), but the same comes from the voluntary departure of the major majors in the sector. The first to detach itself from it was Nintendo, which hasn’t participated in E3 for some time, but holds independent conferences more or less at that time of the year. This year, for example, according to some reports neither Sony nor Microsoft will participate. Which made a lot of talk and made people wonder “so this year E3 will be held?“. The answer came just in these hours.

Talking was Lance Fensterman, president of the company that took over the organization of the event, who confirmed that E3 will take place. On the contrary, the preparations would already be at a good point and perfectly in line with the holding of the event in the month of June, as already budgeted. Fensterman released the following statement to The Verge:

E3 is already in a great place and we are very happy with the progress we have made and the involvement of the community. As already confirmed to the exhibitors, we can’t wait to be able to say something more as soon as we fix the details better, the participants confirm and disclose their programmes.

E3 2023 confirmed: the word to the organizers

Fensterman continued his statement by stating that ReedPop (the company that is organizing E3) never announces attendees to their events before they are close to the event itself. However, he continued, ReedPop will probably have to adapt to the style of E3, suggesting that news regarding the participants will probably be available shortly.
