EA Sports PGA Tour: all about the new Career Mode

Less than a month until the launch of the new Career mode EA SPORTS PGA TOURwhich will officially arrive Friday 7 April 2023. And while the countdown is ticking, we have decided to pass the time by taking a look at all the news that await us.

With the new career, enthusiasts will be able to experience the most important events in golf, using the own custom characterbenefiting from a dynamic and adaptive progression system. The latter can be adjusted for swing tempo, preferred shot types and ball trajectory.

Once you choose where to start (you can choose from amateurs, with the main amateur tournaments, or professionals). The progression, if you choose to start from the bottom, will be dynamic. This means that you will have to face the minor tournaments before trying your hand at the more famous competitions. Amateur events include l’U.S. Amateur Championship, l’Augusta National Women’s Amateur, l’Amateur Championship, l’Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, il Latin American Amateur Championship and many others. All to end up in the Q-school, where you can compete for a place on the Korn Ferry Tour. Only after you have conquered the amateur championships will you receive an invitation to the Masters and the US Open.

In the new Career Mode of EA Sports PGA Tour you will be able to use the setting “AI Mates” to play shot by shot against a PGA TOUR AI pro, or turn it off to speed up the round and focus solely on the game.

Career mode uses a progression system similar to that of RPGs. This means that players can build their skill set over time. You can then spend the skill points earned in the various categories such as Power, Driving, Approach, Short Game and Putting. As the game progresses, new types of shots and power-ups are unlocked, leveling up with XP points.
