Through a press release, Electronic Arts has unveiled the release date of EA Sports PGA Tour, correlating the announcement with a new trailer: let’s find out all the details together
Not just football! Today Electronic Arts announced that EA Sports PGA Tour will launch on March 24, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via the EA App, Steam and Epic Games Store. Pre-orders are already available for the title, which will become the exclusive home to all four of the men’s golf majors: Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, US Open Championship and The Open. In addition, EA Sports PGA Tour will launch the Road to the Masters, which brings with it a legacy and stakes unmatched with Augusta National, Masters-related challenges, tournaments and equipment. The Masters made its first virtual appearance with EA Sports in 2011 and its return to video games has been in high demand among golf fans. EA Sports will also provide more details on additional live service content during the 2023 PGA TOUR and LPGA Tour seasons.

On the occasion, an official trailer of the game was released today (you can find it above) which presents the new shooting system Pure Strike. Pure Strike gives golf enthusiasts all the tools they need to realistically attack every hole on every course, just like the pros do. Equipped with ShotLink and TrackMan, Pure Strike also helps ensure that each professional golfer’s unique swing and characteristics are accurately reflected in the game. Pure Strike incorporates the three parts of every golf stroke: a smooth and highly accurate swing mechanics regarding the player’s backswing length and follow through speed, an innovative ball behavior that allows you to perform more accurately on a variety of terrains and field conditions, and realistic field dynamics that mimic the real field.
Pre-orders are now available for EA SPORTS PGA TOUR, including the Deluxe Edition where players will receive three days early access to the game and at Augusta National, THE PLAYERS Championship gear, Grand Slam gear bundle, in-game Scotty Cameron putter, 1,500 PGA TOUR Premium Points, PGA TOUR XP bundle, and Masters gear . EA Play members will also get early access to the game, starting with a 10-hour trial on March 21st. EA Play Pro members will have unlimited access to the Deluxe Edition of the game and the exclusive EA Play Staff Bag starting March 21st. Finally, all EA Play members will unlock even more bonuses for EA SPORTS PGA TOUR, with monthly discounts on Pro Shop perks like exclusive headwear, shirts, hats and more.
