EKSA E900 review: entry level gaming headphones

EKSA offers a wide range of gaming headsets. We tried the E900 model, which offer quality sound at a low cost

The market for gaming headphones it is vast and gamers are often forced to pay big bucks to get a good headset. However, it is not always necessary to empty your wallet to access a quality product. EKSAwith its model EKSA E900 from cuffie da gaming entry level (little brother of the headphones EKSA E900 Pro), I was really impressed by the cleanliness of the sound, the design and the materials used, despite being a budget product, all at a competitive price.

Packaging and unboxing | EKSA E900 review

The package immediately stands out even to the most distracted eye, with its bright purple! Attention is immediately diverted to the design of the headphones, shown on the cover. The note on customer care on the front of the package is a must, highlighting that it is sufficient to register on the site to take advantage of a warranty extension of 24 months. Inside we find the headphones with 3.5mm jack cable, contained (and well protected!) In a comfortable faux leather bag to carry them wherever you want, a removable microphone with 3.5mm jack and a particularly popular splitter to connect them to the PC in case we have separate audio and microphone jacks.

Materials and design | EKSA E900 review

Despite being the entry level model, the headphones EKSA E900 they are very pleasant both to the touch and to the sight. Clearly do not expect a product with high-level plastic materials, it would also be pretentious to want them at one so competitive pricehowever, the headphones show up anyway solid and discreetly made. Comfortable the ear cups, even if to completely isolate yourself from the outside you will have to turn up the volume a lot. The upper headband is also very comfortable, well padded and does not create any discomfort even after hours of listening. Another positive note on the metal headband, extendable and to which the tilting pavilions are connected, making this model of headphones adaptable and versatile. The cable perhaps appears to be excessively long for the gaming console, but the practical velcro connected to the wire allows it to be shortened to the appropriate length. The removable microphone Gooseneck allows dynamic adjustment according to your needs, and it is possible to deactivate it directly from a switch on the headphone cable, from which it is also possible to adjust the audio volume.

Headphones EKSA E900 they are mainly black with details in the chosen colourway (including a charming company logo on the pavilions!). If purple isn’t particularly striking, the company also offers this model in different colors red and green.

An unexpected sound | EKSA E900 review

Let’s face it, the product looks good, the company knows how to sell, but it is still an entry level item and I didn’t think I could hear quality sound. But as always happens, expectations are disappointed. I have been using headphones with the Call of Duty: Warzone and I found myself listening to a unexpectedly pleasant sound. Good fluidity of sound effects and balance between left and right sound. Also basses are present, despite being a low-end headset. The headphones also perform well enough when watching videos and listening to music. The only negative note is that the sound starts to be slightly annoying at too high a volume.

Conclusions and prices

Apart from the purple color (did you realize I don’t like it ?!), the headphones impressed me pleasantly and dissolved my prejudices about an entry level product. I recommend them to the casual gamer and to those looking for a product of decent quality without having to shell out a capital. Another positive note should be given to EKSAwith the possibility of purchasing the removable microphone, useful in case of failure of the same. In short, if you are looking for a pair of gaming headphones and you want spend a reasonably negligible amountyou must definitely bet on this product.
