Esports Business Days 2022: here’s how it went

After two days of event dedicated to eSports and gaming, the Esports Business Days 2022 ended, to the great satisfaction of the organizers of the Italian Esports Observatory.

Esports Business Days took place on March 31st and April 1st

The second edition of Esports Business Days 2022 officially ended, and it is therefore time to draw conclusions. Two days dedicated to gaming, those organized by the Italian Esports Observatory (OIE) in collaboration with Italian Exhibition Group, in the frame of the Rimini Fair. There were almost 300 operators in the sector who took part in the two days of training and, above all, networking. In fact, there were brands, agencies, law firms and startups at the event. In short, all the ecosystem necessary to make a rapidly growing sector such as that of the Italian export market flourish. Also present were speakers and teachers, who spoke during the various talks.

It is no coincidence that one of the fundamental topics of this edition was Business matchmaking, managed through free PR, which helped to trace the lines of the future of a sector that has now exceeded one million fans in Italy. A huge investment opportunity for companies and multinationals, which are investing significant amounts in the adoption of strategies that implement the world of competitive gaming. In total, over 50 companies responded to the call from OIE. A call to arms? No, but at gaming stations, yes!

But not just video games! OIE members hosted (and delivered) TED-style speeches on various topics that are dear and current to the tech world. In fact, there has been talk of metaverse, NFT, blockchain. Not to forget that the future of entertainment (videogame and otherwise) is there. Precisely in the much discussed metaverse that more and more is preparing to become present.

“We are extremely satisfied with what has been done in these two days – they commented Enrico Furniture e Luigi Caputo, co-founder of the Italian Esports Observatory – with almost 300 total attendances, 12 talks, 4 Masterclasses, 11 pitches and over 100 one-to-one appointments, we have more than doubled the volumes recorded just 6 months ago, during the first edition of this event. We therefore look to the future with enthusiasm and optimism, aware that this format has now become a model for all those who intend to propose 2b2 events in this market “.
