Far Cry 6: that’s why some stages will be playable in third person

The far Cry 6 narrative director reported the reason for the third-person view change in some phases of the game

Ubisoft is often criticized for making its games stereotyped and excessively “homogeneous“(Read it as well as”repetitive“) In their various interactions, even in very different franchises, but you can’t make a bundle of all the grass. Far Cry, for example, is a series rather open to experimentation, and the upcoming Far Cry 6 is trying to do it in different ways, you just need to know, for one thing, that the title will be playable in some phases in third person. Let’s see all the details about it in the next lines of this article.

“The third-person view in some scenes of Far Cry 6 works perfectly,” says Ubisoft

The “purists” of the Ubisoft action-shooter series can sleep peacefully: only some phases of the campaign Far Cry 6 will be playable in third person. Speaking recently with GameSpot, the narrative director Navid Khavari he explained that there are “some reasons” why this will happen. The third-person cutscenes have previously been confirmed, while as was shown during the recent gameplay in-depth, the game also switches to a third-person view when you explore Guerrilla Camps. According to Khavari, all of this will be functional for the purposes of history, players will thus be able to “establish a deeper bond with the protagonist Dani Rojas“:

Nelle cutscene, [la terza persona] it’s something the team tried in the beginning and it turned out to be surprisingly smooth. It immediately felt like there was more than one connection with Dani’s journey into the world, more than one connection with this epic story in Yara. Players will also be able to see the customizations of their characters at these junctures of the story. In Guerrilla Camps, this is also an opportunity for players to be able to see their fully customized character, from backpack to clothing.

In the meantime, the game will also briefly switch to third person view when using the Supremo backpack: “In the Supreme backpack stages, the third-person transition is designed so that players can see all the effects of the instrument in question and better feel its impact in action,” Khavari explained. Far Cry 6 will come out on October 7 per PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC e Stadia.
