Fastweb announces the results for the first nine months of 2022

Fastweb recently announced i results for the first nine months of 2022. Also in this quarter of the year, the company records a increase in customersof revenue and gods marginscrossing the milestone of the 37th consecutive quarter of growth.

In the first nine months of the year the growth trend in the acquisition of customers continues with 523,000 new customers overall in the segments of fixed, mobile and wholesale access services (+ 9%). In the same period the total revenues reached 1,802 million eurosup by 3% compared to the first nine months of 2021.

Despite the difficult macroeconomic context, the growth of margins also continues with theOverall EBITDA that 30 September 2022 has in fact reached i 628 million euros and theEBITDA inclusive of rental costs which attests to 585 million euros.

In this context, Fastweb confirms once again his role as a leader in terms of penetration of ultra-broadband connectivity services. As at 30 September 2022, the customers who have subscribed ultra-fast connections were 2.3 million, an increase of 5% compared to last year. About 85% of the customer base has a connection with performance from 100 Mbps up to 1 Gigabit. Currently over 330,000 customers surf at speeds of up to 2.5 Gigabits per second.

Equally positive the trend of mobile segment which continues double-digit growth. As of September 30, the SIMs are active 2.94 millionup by 27% compared to the same period in 2021.

Other interesting milestones

Particularly significant is the performance of the Wholesale division with the number of customers that in the first nine months of 2022 reaches 418.000scoring a 76% increase compared to the previous year. The Wholesale division reaches revenues of 210 million eurosup 12% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Also there Business Unit Enterprise records excellent performances, with growing revenues which in the first nine months of the year amounted to 736 million euros. This is a sustained increase thanks to the broad portfolio of services enabling it digital transformation of PA and of companiesincluding those of Cloud Computing e you IT security and to strong reputation.

Investments also play an important role in the process aimed at creating “Tu sei Futuro”. This is the new strategic vision that focuses on people so that they can be part of a more connected, inclusive and eco-sustainable future.

Fastweb also continues its action to achieve the complete Carbon Neutrality by 2025. Since last September, all Fastweb fixed and mobile Internet connections are at zero CO2 emissions, thanks to offsetting initiatives. Finally, the society confirms its commitment to the dissemination of digital skills and it does it through the free courses of the Fastweb Digital Academy.
