FIFA 23: EA Sports celebrates Women’s Day with in-game items

As we anticipated in the subtitle, EA Sports collaborated with the independent designer Harkian “Harky” Kalsi on the occasion of the international day to celebrate the fair sex. Affected in-game cosmetic items, available in all of the game’s most popular modes, allow all of their purchasers to contribute to the ever-relevant fight for gender equity. A way like any other, this, to show solidarity with the growth of women’s football all over the world.

Only kick-offs for Women’s Day in FIFA 23

Harky created for FIFA 23 a special shirt for FUT players as well themed shoes for Pro Clubs and VOLTA FOOTBALL modes. The dominant color is the viola: a chromatic choice, this, with which to reflect International Women’s Day. In order to support the publisher’s commitment to promote equality in all fields (literally and otherwise), EA Sports has elected Sam Kerr (for Chelsea), Chloe Kelly (Manchester City), Catherine Macario e Dzsenifer Marozsàn (Lyon) Official ambassadors of the game, as well as the face of all in-game items. Even the ball it’s going to be customized, and it’s Harky’s Sack Flour again.

Sam Kerr stated the following. “Growing up, I looked up to male footballers, and it’s really great that the next generation can be inspired by some amazing female athletes. The need to enhance the female presence and to keep evolving the game remains.” As for Harky, he called it “an honor” to produce the kit Vanity since representation “is important, on and off the pitch”. And we know something of this importance, as we have just celebrated another minority (the Italian one) in its triumph right on the playing field a few days ago.
