Using in-depth evaluations of the players and tactics of the various teams, FIFA 23 simulated all 64 matches of the 2022 World Cup, which will start at the end of the month in Qatar. The videogame, starting from the group stage and passing through the knockout matches, made a very realistic forecast of the tournament.
The most disturbing thing is that the EA Sports simulation had already correctly predicted the winners of past editions of the World Cup. Previous FIFA titles had in fact simulated that the 2010, 2014 and 2018 World Cups would go to Spain, Germany and France respectively. Predictions that then came true in reality.
The FIFA 23 simulation established that Argentina will win the World Cup is that Messi will be the top scorer of the tournament. The “Pulce” will also be present in the best team of the event together with fellow countrymen Emiliano Martinez, Marcos Acuna, Leandro Paredes e Rodrigo By Paul. Not only that: according to the game, the victory of the World Cup will be worth the Ballon d’Or to Messi.
Waiting to find out if the video game will be right for the fourth consecutive edition, FIFA 23 players can finally download the World Cup 2022 update, available for free on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC. As part of the update, EA Sports will bring back 40 of the most iconic songs in FIFA history to the game.
The Qatar 2022 World Cup will officially begin on November 20. All 64 matches will be broadcast unencrypted on RAI channels.
