Ford Explorer, the first electric car to complete the trip around the world without emissions

The new Ford Explorer 100% electric and Lexie Alford, also known as Lexie Limitlessset a new record, reaching, after 30,000 km, the goal of “Charge Around The Globe”, the first completely electric tour around the world.

Lexie and the new Ford Explorer crossed the finish line at NiceFrance, leading a stunning parade of Ford vehicles, legends of the past and icons of the present, while also embodying the company's vision for the future.

The new 100% electric Explorer has special significance for Ford, being the first developed electric vehicle designed and produced in Europe for the European market. With an autonomy that exceeds 600 km on a single chargeoffers superior functionality and efficient performance and is able to recharge from 10 to 80% in just 26 minutes with DC charging stations.

Equipped with a generous overall loading volume of approx 470 liters, the Explorer also offers a compartment called My Private Locker for storing small items safely. The SYNC Move connected infotainment, with 14.6-inch touchscreen, can be adjusted in height and tilted by more than 30 degrees.

Standard features include a heated steering wheel and front seats, with the driver's seat equipped with electric adjustments and a massage function. The sporty design, elegant soundbar, wireless charging for your smartphone and wireless connection to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto complete the practical and engaging digital experience.

The Explorer offers superior technological and design features on board, such as the 10-speaker B&O sound system and multi-color LED ambient lighting. The range of customizations includes the panoramic roof and the Driver Assistance Pack, which offers advanced features such as the head-up display, the 360-degree camera and the new lane change assistance technology.

These features are in addition to the more than 15 driver assistance technologies standard on all versions, including l’Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Clear Exit Warning, designed to help prevent accidents with oncoming bicycles.

Availability

The new 100% electric Explorer is available starting from €41.500 for the model with standard autonomy battery and from €49.000 for the version with extended autonomy battery.
