Foxconn invests $ 300 million in production in Vietnam

Apparently, these days Foxconn signed a memorandum of understanding from 300 million dollars with the Vietnamese developer Bac City Bible to expand its presence in the north of the country. Apple: Foxconn expands its production in northern Vietnam

Over the last few weeks there has been a lot of talk about the production of the iPhone 14 and Apple’s difficulty in managing its suppliers better. Now, apparently, one of the partners of the Cupertino company – Foxconn – has decided to expand its production in northern Vietnam. According to the Tuoi Tre newspaper, the Taiwanese company will open a new plant in Bac Giang province, thus generating 30,000 jobs for the locals. And significantly expanding its production.

Foxconn, formally called Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, and Kinh Bac City did not respond to requests for comment. And this leaves us a bit perplexed, despite the fact that a report leaked online this week according to which the supplier has started the Apple Watch test production right in the north of Vietnam. In any case, the newspaper clearly reports that Foxconn has moved some of its iPad and AirPods production to Bac Giang’s Quang Chau Industrial Park. Beyond this, however, we have no other specific news.
