Microsoft has confirmed that new games that will take advantage of FPS Boost technology are in the pipeline for Xbox Series X and Series S
Among the most palpable efforts made by Microsoft in the console area, we undoubtedly find those relating to backwards compatibility, also given the way in which Xbox Series X / S manage to improve performance of the old games. Better performance and higher resolution are the aspects that benefit most from the broader computing power, but also the fluidity of the action has seen significant increases, thanks to the technology FPS Boost, which although it currently applies to a few titles, is preparing to land on other new games as well.
The solution adopted by the Redmond giant is able to natively double the frame rate of the titles played in backward compatibility, and in some cases even quadruple it. At the moment, however, there are few old productions able to take advantage of the FPS Boost technology (Dishonored: Definitive Edition, Fallout 4, Prey, Fallout 76 and The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition), but it seems that very soon a ‘further batch of new games will join the group mentioned above.

The news comes directly from Jason Ronald, director of Xbox program management, who replying to a question posted to him on Twitter about when further titles would receive the update in question, confirmed that this will happen very soon.
Considering that the latest wave of games to embrace functionality have come about a week after confirmation, it is logical to hypothesize that the catalog is now in the process of seeing its ranks swollen.
