Once again this year FUJIFILM is confirmed as sponsor of the World Report Award, the international documentary photography competition promoted by the Festival of Ethical Photography.
The Festival of Ethical Photography presents the new edition of the World Report Award, photographic competition that is aimed at all Italian and foreign photographers, professional and not, with the aim not only of finding new talent, but also to collect a story that can give a global vision of events, inside and outside national borders.
The big news of this edition is that there will be no limit to the number of special mentions that the jury can award, in addition to the prizes for each category. The jury is made up of internationally recognized professionals working in the imaging sector.
The second novelty is the Single Shot, a category that has moved to an open theme and therefore this change will allow a large number of photographers to participate with very heterogeneous themes. Furthermore, it will be possible for the jury to select a single shot from among the reports submitted in other categories, in order to further expand the possibility for photographers to see their work recognised.
There are four categories in which to propose your project or shot:
REPORTAGE
SHORT STORY
Open to all photographers without any restrictions. The submitted work must consist of a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 photos.
STUDENT
This category is reserved for students currently enrolled in photography schools or who graduated after December 31, 2021. The submitted work must consist of a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 30 photos.
SINGLE SHOT
Open to all photographers without any restrictions. You can participate with as many photos as you want.
Each winner is awarded either cash prizes or photographic equipment, including high-end FUJIFILM mirrorless cameras, namely X-H2 with XF16-80mm lens, FUJIFILM X-T5 with XF18-55mm lens, X-T30 with XF18-55mm lens. Furthermore, the winning projects will be exhibited in the venues of the 2022 Festival of Ethical Photography, in the online gallery of the festival and will be part of the annual catalogue.
The contest closes on March 31st. The 10 finalists for each category and the 30 finalists for the Single Shot Award will be notified on 31 May 2023 via the Festival della Fotografia Etica website, while the announcement of the winners will take place on 30 June 2023.
