Sony announced that Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch’s samurai-style open world action-adventure, scored sales for over 8 million of units since its launch in July 2020. The CES 2022 Yesterday was an eventful event particularly for PlayStation, with Sony officially announcing PlayStation VR2 and Horizon Call of the Mountain. However, other smaller but nonetheless significant updates were also shared, such as updated sales figures for Ghost of Tsushima. Ghost of Tsushima: sales of 8 million copies, an extraordinary success for Jin Sakai’s adventure

It has been confirmed that Sucker Punch’s open world samurai action adventure game Ghost of Tsushima did register sales of 8 million of copies all over the world. The figure includes both the original PS4 version launched in 2020, and Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, which is available for both PS5 and PS4 and hit the market in 2021.

At the last tally released publicly, Ghost of Tsushima had sold 6.5 million of unity around the world. When Sony announced this figure, it also confirmed that a film adaptation of the game, with Chad Stahelski, the director of all four of John Wick’s films, acting as director.
