In a press release, Gigabyte, a leading manufacturer of premium gaming hardware, has announced the official launch of two new video cards. This is the GeForce RTX 2060 WINDFORCE OC 12G e GeForce RTX 2060 D6 12G. Both not only use the company’s certified GPUs, they also feature the WINDFORCE cooling system, real-time ray tracing and AI technology. In addition, memory capacity has been doubled from the original 6GB to 12GB, a change that meets the needs of users who need more memory.
Both the GeForce RTX 2060 WINDFORCE OC 12GB and the GeForce RTX 2060 D6 12GB are designed with the Gigabyte WINDFORCE cooling system, featuring alternating rotation technology, two unique blade fans, composite copper heat pipe in direct contact on the GPU and “3D active fans”. All this ensures effective heat dissipation capacity for higher performance at lower temperatures. Gigabyte technology “Alternate Spinning” it is the only solution capable of optimizing the turbulent airflow generated by adjacent fans. When they rotate in the same direction, the direction of the airflow is opposite between the fans, which generates turbulent airflow and reduces heat dissipation efficiency. The company’s technology requires adjacent fans to rotate in opposite directions, so that the airflow direction of the two fans is the same, reducing turbulence and increasing airflow pressure.
The unique fan restarts the airflow across the triangular edge of the fan and channels it smoothly to the 3D curved section on the fan surface, effectively improving airflow. The special shape of the pure copper heat pipe increases the area in direct contact with the GPU, improving heat transfer. In addition, the various heat pipes cover the VRAM chips through the large metal plate which ensures adequate cooling. Lastly, the protective back-plate not only gives it an aesthetically pleasing shape, but further improves the design of the video card to provide complete protection.
