The winter sales of GOG have now started for a while and the store has decided to give a new free game to the community: we are talking about Iratus Lord of the Dead, an interesting GDR Roguelike made in the forges of Unfrozen. This is just the latest in a long list of free games that the online store has made available for its sales, but let’s find out more in detail.
Iratus: Lord of the Dead is a GDR roguelike con gameplay a turni, set in a dark fantasy universe. Once in the game, players will take on the role of necromancer Iratus, who gives the title its name, and will lead an army of the undead to reach the outside world and sow death in the realms of mortals.
In the game it will be possible to drive into battle 19 types of undead minions different, ranging from zombies, vampires, skeletons, mummies up to the Banshee. The combat system, as we have said, is turn-based, and during each battle it will be essential to know how to exploit the opponent’s weaknesses, but not only: it will in fact be possible to win even by inducing our enemies to madness.
As for the graphic style and the combat system, these wink quite evidently at Darkest Dungeon, another title of this genre much loved by fans.
To get your free copy of Iratus: Lord of the Dead simply go to the main page of GOG, find the section dedicated to Iratus, and click on the green button “Yes, and claim the game“. To redeem it for free, you have time until 3:00 pm on Wednesday 5 January 2022.
We take this opportunity to remind you that on the site you will also find many discounts on the occasion of the winter sales, so we advise you to explore the pages of the store to find any titles you like.
