Google Chrome for Windows records the arrival of the update that introduces version 103.0.5060.114. This update was necessary for the closure of one zero-day vulnerability already exploited in the past by hackers to target systems with Google Chrome installed. Here are all the details related to the identified vulnerability:
Users who take advantage of Google Chrome must, therefore, update your browser as soon as possible (the update takes place automatically, just close all the application windows) to eliminate the risks associated with this particular vulnerability.
The vulnerability in question was reported by the Avast Threat Intelligence team and related to the WebRTC component. The Google Chrome flaw allowed a hacker to be able to execute code even without authorization. This flaw was immediately defined as “very serious”. The update that introduces the fix against this flaw is, therefore, very important and must be performed in the shortest possible time.
To verify that you have completed the update and eliminated this serious vulnerability, you can open a Google Chrome window and access the browser settings menu by clicking on the three dots located at the top right.
