Google explains the Pixel 6’s fingerprint sensor problems

Other Pixel 6 buyers have suggested it may be a hardware problem. The Pixel 6 uses optical scanners under the screen, which would not be as reliable as the ultrasonic ones used for example in Samsung’s Galaxy S21.
