Google ready to release Android 13

All ready for the launch of Android 13, or so it seems. After releasing the August security patches for the Pixels, Google has provided some interesting tidbits on the update of the operating system. More specifically, it stated that “Android 13 devices with a security patch level 01-09-2022 or later are protected against these issues (as released on AOSP, it will have a default security patch level of 01-09- 2022) “. And that can only mean one thing: the update may be available for Pixel 4 and later models already in September.

Android 13 could arrive on Pixel smartphones as early as next month

The new Android OS update could be released soon, after developers have had a chance to test beta versions in recent months. On the other hand, the beta 4 has brought not a few news on the devices, including the optimization of the performance of the fingerprint sensor under the display for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. And in order not to miss anything, Google has also released a beta 4.1 that improves some bugs present in the previous version. At this point, therefore, it seems evident that a definitive version of Android 13 is ready to be released to users. When? Probably next month.

In the meantime, if interested, you can download the latest beta version of the operating system from this link. By clicking on it you will be redirected to the official page of the “Program Beta”Where you will find all the Pixel models available to receive the update. Just click on your model to join the program. To install the update, however, you will have to follow this path: Settings, System, System update. In the process, we suggest that you pay attention to this warning from Google: “You will not be able to deregister and go back to a stable public version of Android without first erasing all data stored locally on the device. You may also encounter problems restoring a backup. We recommend that you review the latest release Notes on Pixel release for Android 13 before signing up for Android Beta “.

If you join the “Beta Program”, once the stable public version is released you will be given a limited time to exit without having to delete the data from your smartphone. So, remember to backup your data before installing the latest Android beta. Or just wait for Google to release its final version.
