The GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has been out for a few days and is already a disaster. The remastered versions of the first three titles in the saga received incredibly negative reviews on Metacritic, which resulted in one of the lowest audience ratings of all time. Players are now asking for refunds and complaining about bugs and glitches of all kinds.

Released on November 11, GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has remained in the eye of the storm ever since, with an incredibly high number of fans reporting the presence of bug, glitch and more generally they complain of a remastering job carried out inexpensively and in an approximate way. It is not a case that the evaluation of Metacritic users fluctuates between 0.4 and 0.9.

At the same time, social media are exploding with images that testify to the tragic situation in which some aspects of the game find themselves, with character models that are better constructed in the original version of the game, inexplicably, or other sudden bugs that could immediately cause the game’s missions to fail.

As if that were not enough, in the past few hours it has also intervened Digital Foundry, who released a video aimed at comparing the original version of GTA 3 with the one released a few days ago. While there are actual visual improvements, such as with the shadows, Digital Foundry claims that Grand Theft Auto 3 has lost much of its sense of style in this remake, a position we feel we can fully share.

According to what emerged, the problems derive from the fact that these versions of the games should have initially been released only for mobile devices and only later did Rockstar veer towards the console market. Be that as it may the GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is undoubtedly one of the most disastrous launches of the software house.
