Hackers: the groups fighting for Ukraine are more than thirty

The list of digital soldiers who are taking part in the hybrid war between Russia and Ukraine is getting longer and longer: according to what emerged from the study of a research group on cybersecurity called CyberKnowwhich is keeping track of the hacker groups active in the conflict, we would be faced with 50 collectives who are fighting in the cyber environment. Of these, those who openly support Russia are 14.

In addition to the group Contiwhich has been spoken of in recent days as the main opponent of Anonymous which supports Kiev – within which, however, there would be a split – in the pro-Moscow lists there is the group Free Civilian, Coming Project, Sandwarm, Ghostwriterthe latter attributable to Belarus, an ally of Russia at the moment, as well as an extension of it, in practice.

A series of group for Kyiv coming from the most disparate countries: Georgia (BlackHawks and Gng), Turkey (Monarch Turkish Hactivist), Indonesia (GreenXparta_9haan). The list includes the Ukrainian hakcer army, IT Army of Ukraine, set up by the government of Kiev to organize the cyber and information counter-offensive against Russia, which currently has 280,000 members and continues to staunchly defend the country.

Just in the past few hours, the infamous international group of hackers, Anonymous managed to hack Russian TV channels, broadcasting videos of the war in Ukraine and calling on the Russians to oppose the Russian genocide in Ukraine. The Russian population is in fact currently under the influence of the Kremlin’s censorship, which has banned them from talking about the invasion, punishment of up to 15 years in prison and fines of up to 10,000 euros.
