Here’s how Black Panther Wakanda Forever honored Chadwick Boseman’s legacy on set

Ryan Coogler, director of the second chapter of Black Panther, found a way to honor the legacy of Chadwick Boseman on set

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever takes the painful commitment to touch the pain and loss experienced by the cast, truope and the entire Marvel fandom for the untimely passing of Chadwick Boseman, known as T’Challa across the screen.

There has been a long debate over whether to recasting or rebooting the first Black Panther, however it was decided to honor the actor’s memory and deepen the Wakanda already last in the introductory film of 2018.

The plot

The anticipated Black Panther sequel will see Wakanda leaders grappling with the new Namor threat. They will have to fight to protect the new nation from the intervening powers, and at the same time face the mourning resulting from the appearance of King T’Challa.

Chadwick Boseman’s impact has been undeniable for MCU fans, in fact, even Kevin Feige recently stated that he feels enormously grateful and lucky to have met him. He also added that his work will last forever.

Ryan’s statements

In an exclusive interview Coogler took the opportunity to explain how the second chapter of Black Panther honored Boseman’s legacy on set.

He explained of the decision to leave the call sheet blank for the actor who died prematurely. Later she has added how Boseman’s death affected him and others involved.

It influenced the world. Trauma is like a bomb, and sometimes people are right there in that blast radius. Many of us were there within range of it, we knew it. We have worked with him for years and have forged a bond that can only be forged by working on something that everyone cares about with passion. But the fact also affected people who were not within the blast radius. Even in the smallest details, we all carry it with us and we always carry it in our hearts

so declared the director.
