This demo of Resident Evil 4 Remake includes a couple of secrets that you may not have discovered. For example, it is possible to activate an extreme difficulty mode called Massacre mode.
Manually activate Massacre mode
The Resident Evil 4 Remake demo has been available for free since last Friday, March 10. It is possible that at some point a message has appeared on the screen, warning of an extreme difficulty mode.
Its appearance is completely random. A way to force its appearance consists of opening and closing the demo without stoppinguntil luck is on your side.
Be careful, because the Massacre difficulty is quite a challenge (not suitable for any player). If you are an ax in Resident Evil 4 Remake, then we invite you to try the demo in this mode.
Did you know that it is possible to activate Massacre mode manually? I hope so it is necessary to execute a combination of buttonslike in the 8 and 16 bit era (remember the Konami code?).
This was discovered by user 7rayD, who explained the process in a video. Do not worry, because we reveal the button combinations for the three versions.
If you want to activate Massacre mode in the Resident Evil 4 Remake demo, Hover over Main Storyand then press the following button/key combination:
- PS5/PS4: R1+L1 first. After: Up, Left, Down, Right, Square, Triangle, Circle, X and X.
- Xbox Series X|S: RB+LB in first place. After: Up, Left, Down, Right, X, Y, B, A and A.
- PC: Up, Left, Down, Right, R, I, Left CTRL and press the space bar twice.
If you have executed the commands correctly, the Massacre mode message will appear on the screen. If you activate it you will enjoy a very challenging experience, while rejecting it sends you directly to standard difficulty mode.
This Massacre difficulty mode is one of two secrets included in this demo. As for the other, it is an exclusive machine gun from the Resident Evil 4 Remake demo.
