Azkaban is one of the most iconic locations in the Harry Potter Wizarding World universe, even though it only appears in passing in the books and movies. However, in Hogwarts Legacy it is possible to visit it… although in a very restricted way.
In fact, the visit to In Azka It is part of a mission that will only come out if you chose the house Hufflepuff after your encounter with the Sorting Hat. If you chose any of the other three houses, you will not be able to change house in your game…

How to visit Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy
The mission in which we visit Azkaban is called Prisoner of Love, and we will receive it at the beginning of the game, as a secondary mission that comes to us automatically (via an owl) after the scene in which we defend the woman in the lake. We will be more or less at level 5 or 6.
If we decide to accept it, we’ll have to go talk to a portrait in the Hufflepuff common room, of none other than Eldritch Diggorythe great-great-grandfather of Cedric Diggory (the character played by Robert Pattinson in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, who succumbs to Voldemort).
This will give you instructions to meet a woman, Helen Thistlewood, which will take you to Azkaban. There is no action there, but you can go through the high-ceilinged corridors and look at the cells or the dementors (although there is no Specter Patronus in the game).
It’s a short mission, but it’s the only way we get to see inside Azkaban, and then we can’t repeat it.
If you already started the game with another house, or don’t want to play as Hufflepuff, but want to see the cutscene, you can always start a new game and play fast until you get to this side quest.
